Always a fan of bold colour and humour....her best selling 'Pirate Pete's Potty' series was endorsed by none other that Radio 2's Chris Evans on his breakfast show! Three of her picture books have featured on CBeebies Bedtime Stories, (including 'Cactus Annie', written and illustrated by Melanie).
The award-winning 'Wolf's Magnificent Master Plan' (also written and illustrated by Melanie) was read and animated on CITV's 'Bookaboo'.

For two years running her books from ‘Billy and the Mini Monsters’ series have been selected for the Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge. They have also been nominated for the Sheffield Children’s Book Award.
